But Kite's mission soon goes wrong and he is left stranded in a hostile city with a former KGB officer on his trail.

2020: Thirty years after that dangerous mission, Kite discovers that its outcome put his name on the notorious "JUDAS" list—a record of enemies of Russia who have been targeted for assassination. Kite's fight for survival takes him to Dubai, a city crawling with international intelligence officers, where he enters into a deadly game of cat-and-mouse with the Russian secret state.

A master at work

As good as Cumming gets and that is very, very good, once again. He is really a master

Adept at switching seamlessly between past and future

The narrator was great and author did a nice job of switching seamlessly between past and future

One Note -

The palpable level of danger and suspense in Voronehz for the exfil of Yuri Aranov had my chest tighten - my breath shallow. I almost didn’t want to keep listening for fear the operation was going to fall apart. - great writing.

My One Note - I really wanted to hear that Oksana did indeed build a life for herself after the vicious attack she suffered at the direction of Gromik - working her way up inside the FSK where she puts Galvin’s name on the JUDAS list.

Boring.

Too much Randy young college student sex and drugs. Unrealistic scenarios! A waste of money!

well crafted but.....

Another well crafted spy adventure but a bit laborious and extenuated. Not up to standards of his prior books but still a great listen.
