JUDGMENT is the classic action/adventure novel that was a runaway paperback sensation in the 1980s...and that skyrocketed the career of then-UCLA student Lee Goldberg, who later became the #1 New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Publishers Weekly bestselling author of Malibu Burning, Calico, Lost Hills, fifteen Adrian Monk novels, and the first five globally bestselling Fox & O'Hare novels with Janet Evanovich.

Brett Macklin was a freewheeling son of sunny California, a collector of vintage cars and a connoisseur of beautiful women. But when his father is murdered by a street gang, Macklin becomes something else--a deadly weapon against crime, a relentless vigilante who won't stop until he's wiped out the killers who have turned Los Angeles into a war zone.

"As stunning as the report of a .357 Magnum, a dynamic premiere effort [...] The Best New Paperback Series of the year!" West Coast Review of Books

"Judgment
is the first volume of Goldberg’s rechristened The Jury series, written with a cinematic sensibility, a television scenarist’s pacing, and a good sense for its characters as flawed beings." Considering Stories Blog

"This is straight-up men's adventure material {...] So look out, folks! Here comes justice with a big freaking gun!" Bruce Grossman, Bookgasm

"Judgment has an amped-up, neon-bright,'burning rubber down the main drag doing sixty while blaring Motley Crue so loud you can't even think' sort of quality. And that's how I like it." --Post-Modern Pulps

"Top-shelf 80's adventure fiction. The Mr. Jury books are probably about the most fun you can have doing so vicarious vigilanting. There's a reason Goldberg is still a successful author. There's plenty of smooth and fast action." Bloody Spicy Books Blog

(Originally published as the first book in the ".357 Vigilante" series, under the pen name Ian Ludlow.)

Other books in the series: ADJOURNED, PAYBACK, and GUILTY

This should have been edited. A lot of the words are not pronounced properly. There’s no inflection in the voice., No emotion.

Someone should’ve listened to this before hand.

I’m sure the story was good. I love Lee Goldberg, but I couldn’t get through the first chapter of the mechanical voice.
