The accuracy of the “horse world” and the feelings she provoked about family and relationships.

This book is Intriguing and fun read. It quickly captures you and keeps you interested. Loved it! I highly recommend it.

Young adult romance

Disappointed the horse and show jumping took a backseat to young romance and deportation issues. Book seemed more suited for an older teen or young adult.

The author’s lack of knowledge

This isn’t an adult romance, it’s YA. OMG we kissed!!! type of thing. The author knows little enough about show jumping or medicine to sound stupid on both fronts. The protagonist is agonizing over which boy she wants to be with. You’ll know by chapter 2, she doesn’t figure it out until chapter 16 or 17. If you look up “tortured metaphor” in the dictionary, you’ll find a link to chapter 21. I listened to the end, but won’t be buying the sequel.
