Rafe is a man defined by absence—absence of career, absence of connection, absence of risk. He fills the void by meticulously observing his beautiful, free-spirited neighbor, Thessa, from the safety of his darkened California apartment. Through the lens of his camera, he constructs a beautiful, controlled reality, documenting her every move, convincing himself that his voyeurism is merely harmless archiving.

But one night, Rafe witnesses a violent altercation. He sees Thessa struggling with an unknown man, a struggle that ends in what appears to be murder. Driven by a sudden, desperate urge to be a hero—or perhaps just closer to the life he watched—Rafe rushes across the street.

Now, hunted and morally compromised, Rafe must shift from voyeur to detective. His search for Thessa leads him to a terrifying discovery: he was never the watcher. He was the watched. Thessa wasn’t blissfully unaware; she was the puppeteer, using Rafe’s obsessive need for control to execute a flawless plan that leaves her rich and Rafe ruined. The only way out is to confront the terrifying woman who weaponized his deepest moral failing.
