In the military, it is encouraged to write a letter to loved ones explaining how much you care for them, and also providing any important information they’d need to know. This is often called the ‘Just in Case’ letter.

This story is based on a letter I wrote in 2010 to my husband before we both deployed to the Middle East. This story follows soldiers Scarlett and Atlas Harvick, a ‘just in case’ letter, and what happened to the family after one of them received one.

Love how this book explored the genuine extended family that is realized when serving your country. The sacrifices made are enormous - but this also explored the gains and the lifelong friendships developed. The narration was fabulous!
