Karaganda ist eine Erzählung von Stephanie Mold die auf Basis eines Gesprächs mit Ludwig Hall (geboren 1926) beruht.
In Karaganda gab es keine Zigaretten. Dort gab es nicht einmal Papier. Man schrieb auf Holztafeln. Wer dort eine Zeitung besaß, war reich, denn der konnte sich Zigaretten aus Zeitungspapier drehen. Ich war dort in Kriegsgefangenschaft. Obwohl es schon sechzig Jahre her ist, wird mich Karaganda nie verlassen. So gerne ich es auch loshätte.
