And at the center of this personal and political turmoil stands Laban - captain of Israel's armies, Keeper of the Records, and the cunning man Zoram is sworn to serve. But how can one man stop a rapidly growing wave of wickedness from destroying the faith, even the very nation, of Israel?

Really enjoyed it! Excellent narrator. Adventurous and very intense. Shows such faith in God in the story of those who were called to do His will. Friendships strong and faithful and acceptance of different cultures. Loved the twist and turns especially at the ending. Excellent Audiobook. Recommended reading.

Beautiful story. Very well done, a mystery, a love a story of devotion Norton's to others but to the HEavenly Father. Please, could we have a continuation of this story. Thanks

Ok Read

it was an ok read. A bit much on the build up, but somewhat suspenseful. For a biblical history perspective, it didn't line up with quite a few things. but good fictional book that should not be correlated with the bible, though some biblical events are mentioned.

great for cross country road trip

we really enjoyed this book! It brought to life a part of the scriptures I never thought about before. Our whole family enjoyed the story
