Dixie sought refuge with her aunt in Jacksonville after her ex-boyfriend disappeared and stopped supporting their child. Her arrival coincided with her aunt’s emergency departure to care for a friend, leaving Dixie to step into the role of nanny for Kent Carter, a single father struggling to manage his career and the care of his daughter. Kent, traditionally reserved and focused solely on his daughter, found himself unexpectedly drawn to Dixie.

However, as Kent delved into Dixie’s background, hoping to understand the mysterious new nanny, his investigation inadvertently led her dangerous ex-boyfriend right to their doorstep. This reckless probe triggered a dire sequence of events, resulting in the kidnapping of both Dixie and Elle. Now, Kent must navigate a treacherous path, filled with peril and urgency, to rescue them both from an unforeseen threat that his own actions helped unleash.
