Wonderful Single Mom Slow Burn Romance!!

This was a wonderful slow burn single mom romance! Walker and Mallory were wonderful characters and complimented each other perfectly. I enjoyed the slow progression of their relationship. Nothing was forced or seemed to be moving too quickly. The pacing fit with the characters, Mal starting over with her daughter, and Walker was the love-em and leave-em type.
Walker's group of friends were wonderful! They came together to help each other out when it was needed. They offered support for Mal and Lizzy when she (and Lizzy) needed it.
Lizzy was also a delight! She wasn't just in one scene then forgotten about, nor was she three going on thirty-five. She got to be a kid and steal everyone's hearts!
There's a light dash of suspense thrown in that makes the story more fun!

There's swearing, steam, talk of drug use/selling drugs.

I enjoyed both narrators! I thought each of them did a great job giving their characters voice and personality, and differentiating all the voices of the different characters in the scenes. I'd definitely listen to other books narrated by them! I listened at 1.1x speed.

Good Start

This was a good start to the series. I liked the cast of characters and the dynamic between the friends. I wish there was a little more development and felt the ending was a bit rushed. Narration is done well overall a nice listen.

Great start to the series. I enjoyed the build up of the characters Mallory and Walker. I loved the narrators they did amazing.

Book 1 - Burgers and Brew Crüe

I absolutely adored this listen! A great start to what is sure to be a wonderful series. Well written, smooth storyline with perfect dual narration. I loved the dual point of view as well. Our main characters are bar and grill owner Walker and new to town single mother Mallory. Walker has a firm no hookups with employees' rule but all that seems to fly out the window when he sets eyes on Mallory. Mallory is new to town and a struggling single mother who is determined to provide for her daughter - who is the best character addition ever. Also - I commend and fell in love with the narrator's rendition of toddler speak - absolutely perfect! Anyway, this instant chemistry between these two just show that rules are sometimes worth breaking and Walker soon finds himself not only in love with mother, but her daughter has stolen all the bar owners' hearts. Speaking of the other bar owners - I really appreciated how tight knit these friends who have become family are and their dynamic throughout this book is so well portrayed. A great, heartwarming love story. I can't wait to see which one of the Crüe will fall next!

I loved it!

This is the first book in the Burgers and Brew Crüe Series. Walker and Mallory's story is sweet, and heartwarming. Walker is handsome, protective, and supportive. Mallory, a single Mom, is beautiful, smart, and caring. I liked the instant attraction, and the sweet romance. Mallory's daughter Lizzie is adorable! The storyline is fast-paced, and engaging. The supporting characters are great, and interesting. I can't wait to know more about the Brew Crüe members! PJ Morgan and Scott Rose did a great job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listening to Don't Go Away Mad, Jasper's story, the next book in the series. I love Lacey Black's writing! #PFPAudio
