The concluding volume in the humorous punk rock adventure that began with The Unnoticeables and The Empty Ones.

After the events of the first two books of the Vicious Circle series, Carey and Randall reached LA during the early '80s punk scene, which was heavily mixed up with Chinatown. A young Chinese girl with silver hair is the Empty One that seems to run things there, and her ex-lover, an Empty One named Zang, has apparently turned against them and may or may not be on Carey's side.

In modern times, Kaitlyn and company have also returned to LA because her powers have been growing and she has been having visions that may be telling her how to kill all of the angels. The downside being that they have to find a new one, first - and LA is the only place they know where to do that.

Steeped in the LA punk scene in the '80s, Chinatown, sunken suburbs, the ocean and gargantuan things that swim in it, Kill All Angels is everything that fans of Robert Brockway's irreverent humor have been looking for to end the series with a bang.

If someone had pitched this book to me as the story of a sun-baked, hungover punk; a brain-washed, spoon-fed actress; and a wide-shouldered, self-conscious stunt woman, brandishing their peculiar talents in a behind-the-curtain defense of the world as we know it, I probably would have listened to it sooner.

I thank all angels and space whales picking up this signal for allowing me to come across this series. Not only was the narrative engaging, but the personalities evoked by the beautiful writing and brilliant ensemble performance were captivating, compelling, comedic, contemplative, and down-right corny, a hodgepodge of emotions at every turn ensuring that you're not quite sure when you should take a break.

First the women characters were written beautifully. Not once did a woman roll her eyes in disagreement.
They cursed and fought right back.
It was a great ending. I read the first book a few years ago. It was a scary world the writer had me in. I did need a year or two to go back in there.

Finish it out with a bang

I absolutely loved everything about this story. The readers put so much emotion into it that I really felt like I was there. I laughed, I got angry, and most importantly, I'm sitting in my car to go to work trying not to cry.

Beautiful!!

As satisfying a conclusion as I could have hoped for. I loved these characters, and the fast plot of this novel made it feel like it was over before it had barely begun. Cannot wait to dig into Carrier Wave.

Bittersweet, funny conclusion
