Multiplicities of Characters and plots

Unsure if the producers cut the timing of the narration or if narration just ran-on between chapters — this made the varied plots and characters blend and get confusing at times - …. An unfortunate combination for what would have otherwise been an intense murder mystery.

No nearly as engaging story as past books

Characters were somewhat forgettable. Not a very interesting plot as in some of her past series.

Audible, read the reviews before posting them!

Just want to make a note that the previous review moaning about go back to the Hebrides should learn how to use Google. This series was written years ago and is just now coming to Audible (the price might have been a tip off?!). Furthermore, the Shetland series by Cleeves is finished and there will be no more books in that series. However, she has a new series now. So there you go, Audible; I cleaned up the downright erroneous information you let the last reviewer publish.

Ann Cleeves shines again!

Good storyline. Interesting characters. Kept me guessing till the end. Does make you think about people’s lives. AC never disappoints.

Cleeves used to be great. I loved the Perez series. the new Ramsey is wet. the characters and story very forgettable
