amazing

really loved the different take on how their relationship started. performance and story was awesome. so glad I found her can't wait to finish the trilogy.

not bad...

Dark and spicy. I don't know much about Greek mythology but I did enjoy Wilde's tale. On to the next one in the series.

No plot

This entire book is one huge smut scene. There are so many holes in this story, that it's sickening. It skips details & gives you a bare minimum introduction, just to jump straight to smut. And it isn't even good smut. it's juvenile. Hades feels like a p3d0 and persephone is a 20 year old with no sense of the world. It ends on a cliffhanger and it's not enough to convince me to even read the next one. it's so bad. There is no depth at all to the characters & some of them I feel could've been left out because they serve no purpose. Almost DNF'd within the first hour. Should've. Don't waste your time.

Well preformed

I love this story and couldn’t wait to hear it in audio. The female narrator brought Persephone to life. You could feel the tension. The male narrator was good but I felt he was a bit old for Hades. Although, he definitely had the “Beast” voice needed. Overall it was enjoyable.

I always enjoy reading retellings of the Hades and Persephone myth. Naturally, I was thrilled to start reading this book. It turned out to be a fun read, and the steamy scenes were intense 🥵 However, it's not my favorite Hades and Persephone retelling. The story felt like it was missing something. Despite that, I still enjoyed the book. If you're into the sub-dom kink, I definitely recommend giving this book a read.
