Great story with excellent narrators!

This story is not Mafia, it’s Society… what’s the difference you ask?? Hmmmm…. You’ll have to read/listen to find out!

The couple in this book, Alessio and Natalia, are fire from almost moment one. Although he tries to be cold and distant. She come in as a nanny for Nino, the boy who lives with Alessio… but there’s something else on her mind.

This book is gritty and full of angst… it twists and turns and twists again. It is a great listen and read! The narrators Stefanie Kay an Gideon Frost did an exceptional job with these characters!!!

Holy cow, I could not put this down once I started! Kingdom Fall took place in a different city, but it was the same crazy Society world that we got from A. Zavarelli's previous Society Trilogy. Alessio was cold and closed off, but it was hard to truly hate someone whose entire life revolved around loyalty and not being like his father. I loved watching his struggle to be affectionate with Nino and to try and fight his attraction to Natalia. The attraction and intensity between Natalia and Alessio was off the charts, so it was a given that they couldn’t fight it forever! I started guessing about Natalia’s past from the very beginning and while some thing were easy to guess, I could not wrap my mind around everything that she suffered and went through. She came off as meek in the beginning but we slowly got to see the real her with how she stood her ground with Alessio when it came to Nino, not to mention her survivor instincts. A. Zavarelli mastered the ability to mix drama, nail biting tension, major steam with some romance sprinkled in, and twists and turns that had the ability to shock me until the end!
I read this book when it first came out but the audiobook makes the story even better! Stefanie Kay did an amazing job adding the emotion and struggle that Natalia was going through, and I loved Gideon's sexy but deadly cold voice!

Everything you want in a mafia love story. Sexy strong smart alpha male. Smart and reasonable nanny who captivates you right from the start. No bratty behavior or unrealistic misunderstandings. Great chemistry and Great spice. And you emotionally bond to both. Well earned and very good HEA. 🌶🌶🌶🌶

Read this a year or so ago but once I read the newest book just out this week, (which was awesome and featured characters from this book) I wanted to go back and listen to this book. worth it!
