The terms ‘Kingdom of Heaven’ and ‘Kingdom of God’ are used synonymously, and are referenced in relationship to the eternal abode of the those who have died in the faith, and gone on to their reward. In some cases they are being used to speak of future events and a utopia that will be established when Jesus returns to set up His Kingdom on Earth. For the most part, these terms are misunderstood and largely misapplied. With the many different views of the same topic, I want to try to make some sense of what is being said, and try to clear up some of the confusion being generated around Kingdom theology.
