Falling in love was not part of the deal.

Faith Ardmore is returning home with a broken heart. She hasn’t yet broken the news to her family that her fiancé dumped her days before Christmas. She just hopes the rest of Misty Mountain never knew she was engaged.

Holden Pryce never expected to be seated next to someone from Misty Mountain on his flight home from Chicago. He’s recently moved to town and hasn’t fully integrated into the community. But the more he talks to the teary-eyed beauty, the more he realizes they can help each other. He needs someone to help with his eight-year-old daughter and she needs someone to pose as her fiancé for the week. It’s the perfect arrangement.

But when feelings start to get all too real, Faith must acknowledge her fears. With her heartbreak so fresh, she’s terrified to trust someone again, even if what she feels for Holden is more powerful than anything she’s felt before.

The Misty Mountain Mistletoe series is a sweet contemporary Christmas romance series filled with swoon-worthy heroes in a small-town setting.

I really like the story. I know it’s a romance “STORY” and things always seem to work out somehow. At times this is what I need to read or listen to.
The virtual voice is ok. I do prefer a narrator that deepens or pitches high to distinguish male and female.
But listening to this at bedtime helps me fall asleep instead of me extending the time and getting no sleep. Lol
