Wonderful story

A story for the ages. We cannot forget. Ever. I knew David Sato. Wonderful human being from an amazing family.

the power of forgiveness

This is a memoir full of industry, sweetness, and the power of both forgiveness and gratitude. I highly recommend it.

Story of endurance

This is a great story about the real hardships the Americans of Japanese ancestry endured during WWI. I felt the loss and joys that Kiyo felt; she is such a great story teller! I have met her and amazingly not only is she still alive today, but as mentally sharp as a person 40 years younger. Her long life span is a testament to her willingness to be brave and do the difficult tasks despite the barriers life has thrown her way as well as a reminder of the importance of family that she so eloquently writes about. It’s amazing to think that she lived through the Great Depression and so much US history. This is an easy listen. I strongly recommend it for all ages, especially young people to get a better understanding of our important US history.

Excellent Book

The book is well written about an era we seldom hear about.. it is one that needs ti be shared. The struggle during and after the war
Was shared about one of the thousand families who were innocently incarcerated.

The voice if the narrator was just right. However some of the pronunciation o the Japanese words or names was not always accurate! Excellent writing!
