The last mystery. An epic conclusion. A return to Duminborne and a dead king.

Inside the castle, soldiers are going missing. Their beds are found slept in but empty save for scatterings of dust. Signs of the Horseman’s presence linger, but another killer does his work.

Serileen has coerced the last suspects in her mother’s murder into joining her at the castle, and as her patience unravels, Calec attempts to aid her and the new king. Serileen’s last gambit is to pit the necromancer, a witch of the woods, the king, and the Hunter against each other.

What is reality and dream blends into the world of the Horseman, and when any fall asleep, they risk and often lose their lives. As the death toll rises and none inside the keep are safe, Calec and Serileen hope to link the events in the castle to those that occurred over two decades ago in the sacred circle and, at long last, bring justice to the suffering.

But no one could foresee the connection here until it is too late.

And Calec and Serileen cannot both escape the Horseman’s clutches.

Note: Each Calec Horror Mystery is a complete story without a cliffhanger ending, but there are some secondary questions that continue throughout the series. These stories can be read and enjoyed in any order.

I really thought the whole series was well planned and written with a great ending. I just don't care for AI narration.
