Lyndon Banner, a successful lawyer, is asked by his ex-girlfriend Stacy Gibbins to be her fake fiancé at a conference. He agrees, but soon finds himself falling in love with her again. As they spend more time together, they realize that they still have feelings for each other, but are hesitant to act on them.

When the conference is over, they must decide whether to continue their relationship as a fake engagement or to make it real. They know that their decision will have far-reaching consequences, but they are determined to follow their hearts.

However, their relationship is not without its challenges. Lyndon is suspicious of Stacy's motives, and Stacy is hiding a dark secret from him. There is also another woman at the conference who is interested in Lyndon and is determined to win him over.

To make matters worse, someone seems to be trying to sabotage their relationship. Lyndon and Stacy start to receive threatening messages, and their belongings are vandalized. They don't know who is behind it, but they are determined to find out before it's too late.

As Lyndon and Stacy get closer, the threats become more serious. They are followed, attacked, and even framed for a crime. They are running out of time to find the truth, and they are starting to fear for their lives.
