time travel story of a different kind

A young mother is forced to escape her apartment with her young daughter. An abusive ex-husband has found her again. The legal system has failed her. Social services have failed her again and again. With no place to go she drives from one Walmart parking lot to another in hopes of evading her ex. One day she finds herself lost, hungry and low on money. She somehow finds herself noticing a sign on a lonely road directing her to an estate sale. There she meets an old man who directs her to a wishing well in the back yard. With a magic penny she wishes for somewhere safe for herself and her daughter. What happens next is a story of finding love and safety in the nineteenth century. I listened to the audiobook and found the story captivating and well narrated. You won’t go wrong choosing this book to read or listen to.

Thoroughly Enjoyed!

I enjoyed this read … its characters and storyline … so much that I had to give it 5 stars. There was a bit of confusion in the writings over repeated wedding ceremonies. Other than this, it was a wonderful story.

Wow! what a unique story

Time travel novels are not easy to write. this one was fabulous with many twists and turns. Highly recommend. Am going to read author's other books b
