In this variation, Darcy never visited Hertfordshire with Bingley, though he did influence Bingley away from Miss Jane Bennet via letter, at the insistence of Bingley's concerned sisters. So when he meets Elizabeth Bennet for the first time at Rosings, he is surprised to discover that this lively but perfectly proper lady is of the same family that was so reportedly full of impropriety—and even more surprised at his own irresistible attraction to her.

Elizabeth is equally intrigued by Lady Catherine's quiet and handsome nephew—until she discovers his role in pushing Bingley away from her dearest sister.

Great short story

This was a short story. Elizabeth and Darcy meets for the first time in Hunsford. They had both heard about the other. Very interesting take on P&P.

Short and sweet

I liked the What If Elizabeth and Darcy met in Kent for the first time. Low angst. I personally feel Bingley should be held accountable for his own actions, rather than dumping on Darcy, but otherwise I feel the characters were pretty average for JAFF. I would recommend as it is short and sweet.
Virtual voice is no Stevie Zimmerman or Harry Frost, but it wasn’t horrible.
