On his deathbed, the 90-year-old former bookkeeper for the Kansas City mafia names Walt as the successor trustee on his Living Trust.

An unsuspecting Walt soon discovers that his duties include keeping an eye on the heirs, who must complete some very specific tasks before claiming their inheritance.

When things start to go south, Walt soon learns that the heirs will resort to anything, including murder, to get their hands on their grandfather’s money.

Lady Justice and the Living Trust by Robert Thornhill is a great listen. I love the writing of Robert Thornhill. He has wisdom included in the story, along with facts, and incredible details. As a former realtor, I love the factual details regarding inspections, trusts, trustees, etc. The humor in the book is great, and there are some endearing characters. George Kuch is delightful in his performance. He brings the characters to life, and has the perfect timing for the comedy. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will definitely listen to more books by the author and narrator. This book is part of a series and a standalone listen. There are tie-ins to previous books with reminiscent details and characters. I love the setting of Kansas City for this series.

Robert Thornhill continues to deliver a great book. I enjoy this series very much. Walt Williams seems to attract trouble even when he is just being a trustee for a living trust. Of course Walt's Dad is the one who gets him involved in the first place. How Robert Thornhill comes up with these great story lines I don't know, but he always delivers a great story. George Kuch is again the narrator and honestly no one can be the voice of Walt Williams but George.

The author provided me with a complimentary copy of this audiobook with no expectation of a review. Walt Williams, a geriatric private investigator, always finds himself in a pickle in this series. This book is no different. I can't say more without revealing spoilers. Get the book; you won't be disappointed.

The lady Justice series is one of the best because of the writing that draws you in the spectacular narration that keeps every second this action packed story moving forward. It’s impossible to not listen to it in one go, or to hit pause because something is always happening (or about to happen). In this book Walt becomes the executor of a will and has to deal with 3 greedy grandkids who will do anything to get their hands on the estate money. There’s plenty of action & suspense mixed with some humor for good measure. All in all it’s another hit for the Lady Justice series, which is one of the best cozy series out there.

Greed, Suspense & a dose of Humor!

It always amazes me how Walt can be designated to do the most mundane thing, and it turns into a life altering adventure... this is one reason I love these books!!!
