“The Queen of paranormal romance.”
USA Today

A classic from #1 New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan, Lair of the Lion is a dark-edged and enthralling take on the beloved “Beauty and the Beast” fairy tale. It is the breathtaking story of a beautiful, penniless aristocrat who promises herself to the handsome, powerful, mysterious, and not wholly human Don Nicolai DeMarco in order to free her imprisoned brother—even though legend has it that the Don will destroy any woman he weds. Perhaps best known for her bestselling “Dark” series, featuring the haunted and mesmerizing immortal Carpathians, Feehan is arguably the biggest name in paranormal historical romance—and any reader who loves passionate love stories tinged with the supernatural should enter the Lair of the Lion.

The story itself is great for those who love a beauty and the beast story. The sex is good, but WAY overdone. The don't trust each other, but can't keep their eyes off each other? I love CH's dark series and even loved the Scarletti Curse, but there were some things missing from this book. I would have liked a little more detail on the entity and it's origination. The narrator does do different voices very well at all, but she at least has a nice soothing voice without lulling one to sleep. If you like Christine Feehan, you'll enjoy this book. But it will leave you feeling a little bereft at the end of it.

A great story, but a little overdone with not enough detail.

I love every book that Christine has written ❤ . There is always a lot of sex in some of her books or most. I can do without all that. It was a beautiful love story. I liked the narrator too. Would recommend this book to anyone who likes dark series. The Carpathian novels are my favorite

Fabulous !!!

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

It was ok, but not as exciting as many of her other works. Seemed to drag on and on at times. I knew pretty much what was going to happen the entire time.

Would you be willing to try another book from Christine Feehan? Why or why not?

absolutely. Some of my favorite books are written by Feehan.

Which scene was your favorite?

none stand out, really. I guess the climax when they find out that there was more than one "beast". The way the women were portrayed... I think the thing I liked most was the older female was loved by her husband, even though she was a bit insecure about them.

Was Lair of the Lion worth the listening time?

It was just "okay"

Any additional comments?

not my favorite, but still pleasurable enough.

predictable
