Once again Jane Harper brilliantly sets up place. She is a master at this.
I really enjoy her books and again this is very atmospheric and well written.
But I just felt sad all the way through. The loss of the son, the town, the way of life.
So much heartbreak. I was relieved when it was over.

Brilliantly placed subtly revealed never obvious. Sadness for Sam lingered after the ending.

Ending too rapidly embodied a life goes on theme’ .While reader was still wrestling with the tragedy.
