The hunted have become the hunters.

For the first time since their defection, Captain Alyss Cortez and her misfit crew of rebels are no longer looking over their shoulders. Instead, she’s scented the blood of her enemy on cosmic winds and will stop at nothing to bring Adrian Kaska down for good.

There’s just one little problem: Nothing is ever easy.

Kaska has gathered an army of followers loyal to his cause. If they aren’t stopped the impending war might well bring humanity to the brink of destruction from the inside out. To win, hard choices must be made.

Alyss knows better than anyone that freedom always comes at a cost. The question is whether this time she can pay the price.

A good conclusion to the story line of dealing with the heroine’s nemesis. Not spectacular, but good.

A good conclusion

The ending tied up a lot of loose ends while leaving just enough wiggle room for a sequel or two nicely done

A bag up finale

If there is one thing I can't stand in a series of novels, especially after I've invested in 3 or 4 titles, is to suddenly discover that there is a cross-over series of books that interplay with what I've been paying for....and I didn't know it and I haven't read or listened to those other books.GRRRRR. All of a sudden "Jace Hughes" is introduced as a character that the protaganist has crossed paths with but damned if I know the name of the books or what went on. Extremely annoyed and going to ask for my credit back..

Frustrated
