Very Dumb Main Characters

The overall book/plot was good. However, I have a problem with a 9 year veteran of the FBI acting like some too stupid to live heroine in a B grade suspense. The police chief wasn't much better. They both did really stupid things and were completely inept in getting the bad guy. Ugh. Keep your credit.
