Critic reviews

"A very useful book...Dr. de Bono does not claim to be able to turn us all into Miltons, da Vincis, and Einsteins...but his techniques provide an alternative to just sitting around waiting for the Muse to appear." (David Cohen, Times Educational Supplement)

The story and diction are coarse, dictionary like, and indigestible. Hard to listen and absorb.

Topic is great!

This book is more useful if u r a teacher and wanna introduce this concept in the class.
To be fair, this was my first book I read about lateral thinking so it helped me understand its concept now I would have liked more juice/material than ways to implement it in a class setting.

An OK read!

The entire book (at least the 3/4 I listened to) could be summarized by “think outside of the box”. It could have been 1/2 hour long. It reads like a public service film from the 1950’s. I often disagreed with the author, although maybe that’s thinking outside of the box? For example he, claims you can’t dig a second hole by making the first one deeper. I immediately thought of a tunnel. Normally I’d ignore that, but in a book about thinking outside of the box, this matters.

So boring, can be summarized in one sentence.

It was boring and hard to follow. I think there are books that need to stay only in print. This was one of them.

It’s more of a theory-practice book
