Smart Reminders for Struggling Women Leaders

I've been studying leadership for a long time, including teaching college courses and workshops on this topic. So, I am always reading leadership books to keep current. While I didn't find anything earthshatteringly new here, the writing and narration were clear, straightforward, and I appreciated some of the reflection exercises that were thoughtfully woven into the audiobook. From the work I've done previously with women leaders, I think the chapters that will be really helpful are chapter 3 on leveraging mentorship and networking, because I have found many women leaders who benefit from finding true mentors (not those consultants who try to sell their services as if they were mentors). True mentors are those who have been successful leaders for years and are willing to share their thoughts with you without charging anything. Also, I liked the final chapter about leading with purpose and inspiration.

I picked this up because I felt completely stuck professionally, like my voice wasn't heard in meetings. This book was like having an honest mentor coach me through the tough stuff.
