Very useful upon repeated listening

Much more practical than the Level 1: Introduction to Italian from Innovative. I'd recommend skipping that and starting with the Absolute Beginner volumes 1 & 2.

Better than most of the paid programs

If you are a fast learner and don't need someone to hold your hand and make sure you repeat everything enough times, this is the program for you. So many diverse conversations and fun to listen to. You will learn a lot. But keep in mind that this is for people who really want to learn Italian - not just for tourism. And if course, don't make this your only source. Use apps, textbooks and other audio like Pimsleur. Also watch shows and movies in Italian and take lessons over video chat on Preply.
