She went through 22 months of rehab for both physical and head-trauma injuries, and triumphantly returned to work. The couple speak candidly of Samantha's journey over the last four years, and the personal price they've paid to be in the police force. But ultimately this is a story of an inspiring woman who refused to give in and the man who stood by her side.

What would have made Left for Dead better?

I am not sure. I just know that the book just sounds like a time line of events and not really a story.

Has Left for Dead turned you off from other books in this genre?

It has not turned me off of the genre. I really enjoy survival stories, just not this one.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Miranda Nation?

The narrator sounds bored and I don't know if it was because of the materials or not.

What character would you cut from Left for Dead?

I don't know. It is a true story so I am not sure how that could be accomplished.
