Religion is, as Karl Marx said, the opiate of the people since it makes it so easy to be intellectually lazy.
Maybe the Sumerians were correct when they formalized religion. Enslve the body, mind, and spirit via religion, and you make obedient slaves.
Make these slaves work hard with the promise of milk and honey AFTER they die.
It worked then, and it works today.
As for me.
I believe in a higher consciousness. But I need to find out what that is.
I also have a spiritual connection to that unknown.
Like love and thinking, I cannot quantity my beliefs, but these beliefs are accurate to me.
