Harriet Emilie Cady (1848-1941) was a homeopathic physician and author. Her 1896 book Lessons in Truth: A Course of Twelve Lessons in Practical Christianity is considered a foundational text of the Unity Church. The book explains many of the important tenets of the New Thought movement of the late 1800s. Cady emphasizes the indwelling of the divine in each person, and how to transform one’s thoughts, words, and beliefs.

In these 12 lessons, the author provides accessible introduction metaphysics and examples of practical Christianity from the perspective of her personal experiences. Cady’s 12 lessons include instruction on faith, the use of affirmations, and the unity of the spirit.

The 'Voice'

the book and the message are amazing. After 2 minutes of this person rattling off words at a fast pace....I bought the actual book

Excellent book

Unfortunately I struggled with the reading. Some mispronounced words. Unfamiliarity with Bible book names. The reading seemed a bit forceful.

Worth listening to

The narrator sounded almost like a bot which was tiring and hard to absorb the context. But I love the material.

Not a good voice for content

Not an enjoyable listen for me unfortunately- deleting and will just read it the book
