Let Her Rest is the seventh stand-alone novel in the Northern Michigan Asylum Series.
A night so terrifying, he blocked it for 30 years...
Jake Edwards hasn’t thought about the Northern Michigan Asylum in three decades. When Petra, a mysterious woman from his childhood, appears at his business, he suspects a practical joke - until she vanishes, leaving behind a blood-spattered apartment and a trail of secrets that all lead back to the shuttered asylum.
As Jake digs into his dark past, he must face the sinister forces who have been hunting him for decades.
Don’t miss this gripping tale of the haunted, the hunted, and the murdered.

Jack and Charlie are really good characters, and I really enjoyed the way in which their stories get intertwined. And having back some of the characters from the previous books was a wonderful bonus.
As always, the story is full of tension and very, very intriguing. While we are learning about Jack's childhood and which was his relationship with Petra we also are trying to learn what happened to her and what happened to them both in the Northern Asylum.
Charlie, on the other hand, is trying to learn about her new house and the spirits that haunted it, but that isn't without danger.
A real page-turner, wonderfully narrated by Alan Carlson, fully recommended.
As always, fantastic story

This was a fascinating listen. I absolutely loved the build up of the story and the development of the characters. I really liked Norm, he was such a refreshing and real character.
The narrator was good, portraying the characters and emotions well.
While I liked this story overall, it wasn't my favourite in the series. I liked the book and story, just not the end. I still love this series and will be eager to listen to more.
Note: this book was given to me for free at my request and I have left this objective review voluntarily.
