Dr. Erin Jacobs is making a name for herself in the sports world. Drawing on her own life experiences, she encourages and inspires athletes to recover from career ending injuries. So why would someone want to hurt the good doctor?

Detective Logan Sinclair is determined to find that answer. He's been mesmerized by Erin from the moment she found him and his partner shot in an alleyway. Since that night their lives have never been the same. Will Logan be able to solve the puzzle of who wants Erin out of the way before it's too late? And if so, what impact will those answers have on their lives?

This was a really great story! The only complaint I have is that the narrator was inconsistent: one chapter the read was well done. Several other chapters the narrator did a really poor job. There’s was no inflection, she just read it—no emotion (even during an unveiling of a very important part of the story).
However, even with the poor narration, I still liked the story!!

Good story, but was painful to listen to due to narrator. I barely made it through the narration was so horrible.

Any additional comments?

This novel has been misclassified. The most (best?) action occurred in the first five minutes. This novel is a Christian/Romance with a bit of crisis of faith and redemption mixed in. Only ten percent of the novel has mystery elements. It is a charming story. Willow J. Scott did a good job as the protagonist, Dr. Erin Jacobs.

Not a Mystery!

Please don't use this narrator again. This narrator pretty much ruined the audio experience. I almost returned the book but have enjoyed Anne Patrick's books so I tried to be hopeful.
However, I'm not sure how believable this ending was? Perhaps a bit of a stretch? Given the ending, I'm not sure how much of my disappointment should lie with the narrator or if this book just wasn't that good. I did like the characters and story until the end for the most part. I have really enjoyed Anne Patrick in the past.

Love Anne Patrick's books - not this narrator

I gave up on listening to this book after several attempts to "catch my interest". The story might be ok if reading it because some of the parts could be skimmed through, but listening to it was not enjoyable. I did not care for the narrator's voice which also made it difficult to listen.
