Sex – Spaceships – Smashing Heads
Having finally scrounged up enough bits to get himself a ship, Bartholomew "Barty D" Duke is ready to launch himself and his main squeeze P’riti into a life of freedom and adventure.
Of course, nothing good comes easy in a dog-eat-dog galaxy, and before their thrilling interstellar adventure can so much as leave the ground, things start to go sidewise.
Kicking off a serial of galactic proportions, the first Let’s Be Bad Guys sees our heroes shooting, looting, and rooting their way to a better life among the stars in a universe that runs on as much game logic as it does blood, sex, and cold hard cash.

The main character is traveling through space and meets different species of aliens. He initially tries to be a good person, but this causes some trouble, so he decides to become a bad guy, hence the title. He has some sassy crewmembers like an AI that seems more intent on causing trouble then helping. As a dashing captain he meets several women and they all willingly form a harem over the three volumes. There are some adult scenes so be aware of that.
I found this book to be humorous. The author has different species of space aliens, but they have standard fantasy analogs. For example, Space Orks are called Sporks. Space Elves have a normal name but are sometimes referred to as spelvs, and so on. The Rogue AI has a few funny quips, but it was funniest when the Captain rebutted a snarky comment and the AI annoyedly concedes the point.
There were some LitRPG sections like reading out stats and so forth but it wasn't over the top. The narrator did a good job with the voices. The author had a few action scenes, but occasionally the author would tell rather than show. Like when there are space orcs destroying things or exploding to achieve a goal, but you are told the after effects instead of one of the characters witnessing it so you can see it through their eyes.
Overall I found this to be an enjoyable read.

the Narration is pretty good, Joshua has alot of different voices. he doesn't have a particularly annoying voice, overall he's pretty good.
I think the mc was written pretty well, I like the supporting characters. the premise is also really good, I do think some of this book could've been executed better, but overall I like it.
pretty good
