If I Could Turn Back Time

If I could turn back time not sure where I would land. There have been so many special moments in the days gone by...
Would I stop on that special day when Wills Chapel Church on Tumbling Creek was having dinner on the ground overlooking the creek…
I found mom so she could be sure to get me some of the chicken and chocolate pie she brought... I can see her now with my paper plate reaching to get me some chicken and pie…

Would I stop on one of the nights when I would be sick with a cold and mom would be rubbing Vicks VapoRub on my chest just trying to help me breathe…

What other days could I stop on... a sunny Saturday and me helping mom get the clothes off the line and me smelling the clean warm sheets as I helped her take them down... and listen to her calm soft voice as we would talk...

Could I pick that special day when mom took me fishing up the banks of Tumbling Creek... she would make little doe balls to fish with... can still see the big ole sun perches that we would catch…
Would I pick a night after supper, and I would be helping her wash the dishes... we would be talking about the things that happened that day... she would give me a dime to help... that dime at school would buy two popsicles or a carton of orange drink...

Would I pick that special day after we moved to town that mom walked to Western Auto during lunch to meet me to buy me a new bike… I rode the bike beside her back to work... I had to be the happiest kid in the world that day...

Would I pick that special day in the summer after I graduated that mom went with me and cosigned a loan with me to buy my first car...
What a happy day that was… I remember the payment was 55 a month, but I made the payments...

What day would I pick... there are 1000's of days that I could pick that my mother’s love was always there…
