after the first spoke of his intended to just read the ebook and not do another audio. My reasoning was that while the narrator was spot-on to the character and feel of the story it was over the top and personally that was too much for me to enjoy the story. I picked up the second book and got about 50% through the story before I was so bored that I decided to go ahead and pick up the audio and see if in my effort to kind of tone down things I had also lost the funny. as it turns out I think the telling of the story is better with the narrator. The gentlemen's inflections and rhythm for lack of a better word bombastic narration for this story really does make it worth listening to.

Light Novel Awesomeness

Hilarious and goofy. Author has a solid grasp at what makes anime inspired books work. You like anime or Gamelit you’ll prob dig this like I did. Solid narration

It is a disconnected isekai harem

I actually enjoy this series. The main character actually shows some thought in this book and there is some growth in the other characters. Overall, this is a crunchy, light story where the good guy triumphs and redeems evil. The MC is a little less OP, the larger picture is expanded upon, and the MC's interactions with his harem improve.


Expect the tropes and clichés. Expect the words lewd and maidens to be overused. In spite of this it is a lot of fun, and I will probably pick up the next one when it comes out on audiobook.
