Imagine a drug that made your brain function to its full potential. A drug that allowed you pick up a foreign language in a single day. A drug that helped you process information so fast you could see patterns in the stock market. Just as his life is fading into mediocrity, Eddie Spinola comes across such a pill: MDT-48 - a sort of Viagra for the brain. But while its benefits materialise quickly, so do certain unwelcome side-effects. And when Eddie decides to track down other users, he soon discovers that they’re all dying, or already dead.

It's a great audiobook but the ending was kind of boring since I exoected something more after the movie.

A great book!

Thoroughly recommend this unusual and fascinating book. Never once lost interest and the reader was excellent. My first Alan Glynn. Read with the same pace and rhythm with which it was written. One of the best books of the year so far for me.
A touch of the Stephen King about the story without the weird and unbelievable stretches. I always had a belief that this could be possible and the story tied me to it until the last words. One of those rare books that was disappointing to finish.
Well worth a credit. Go ahead and get it, you won't be sorry.
Very well done.

Terrific! Really well written and a great reader.

What about Bryan Bounds’s performance did you like?

The narrator was extremely good. Really gave life to the story

Any additional comments?

I felt that the hero could have been more smarter in the book.

Very good

This is a great book - it is way better than the movie and the tv series. The performance is equally great - I loved every minute of it. Sad thing is I am in Poland and Audible does not want to sell me the prequel/sequel "The Receptor" :(

Excellent! Much better than the movie.
