Frederick Frederickson has a food-chain theory about life. There are lions, like the school bully. Gazelles, like the bullied kids. There are meerkats, and the fleas that live on the butts of meerkats. Frederick's a flea.

Fifth grade is off to a terrible start when Frederick is sent to a disciplinary camp for troublesome boys. inspired book for young boys

Read this with my sons ages 11 and 9. They loved it. Funny parts...and real 10yr old thoughts it seems. There was much conversation from my kids during and after listening!

Good just not quite great

It's not an outstanding story but it was fun and emitted a few chuckles from our family. It's stated the characters are ten but seem to act a bit more mature than that and deal with more preteen issues. So, the story was a bit unbelievable.

I liked when Frederick went on the cruise and dash ran away on a boat.
