This book won a 2012 Independent Publisher Book Award (IPPY) for Women's Issues. In this collection of 26 essays, women explore the myth and meaning of wedding dresses. They are never-married women, happily married women, divorced women, gay women. What they say will touch, surprise, and inspire. The book was inspired when the editor posted a comment on Facebook about seeing used wedding dresses at thrift stores. This one message resulted in a flood of stories, poems, and essays from other women. The essays were collected, edited and published in a book that took a total of two months to complete from start to finish.
