A Twist I Didn't See Coming

This is a sweet novella about a family on their annual beach vacation. It reminded me so much of my own days at the beach with my little ones—torn between letting them be carefree and loud, yet also wanting to make sure they didn’t impede on anyone else’s peace.

As the story unfolds, the locals make Jovi and her family feel like outsiders, unwanted and unwelcome. But in the midst of that tension, she discovers an unexpected friendship that changes her life in the most surprising way. And I have to say, the twist at the end was one I truly didn’t see coming!

A great listen!

Jovi's journey is raw, real, and deeply relatable. It captures the quiet complexities of motherhood, grief, and grace. The book is set against the backdrop of a sleepy beach town, and this story weaves unexpected friendships and emotional healing into something truly special.
I listened to the audiobook and it captivated me. I love how the author was also the narrator. She got her family and special sound effects involved. Couples with the wonderful story, I can’t recommend this enough.

Great Reminder

This little novella touched on so many thoughts and feelings I have had in my own life. It was a good reminder to slow down and show gratitude. I loved the symbolism and references to other texts throughout the story. The audiobook record was done so well, a great duet graphic audio recording. The kids did a fantastic job too! If you are looking for a quick read, that is impactful, as well as has a little supernatural element to it, you will enjoy this novella.
