This is the story of one man’s experience in building a log home, and as such a new builder may find it a useful reference. It covers the tragedy of losing his wife, Aline, to ovarian cancer halfway through the project. How he twice ran out of money, the mistakes he made and the things he would do differently. It also tells of the great, almost euphoric, sense of achievement he experienced as each milestone is accomplished, as things go right and fall into place, and the build moves inexorably toward completion.
