Although Scott Brisbane is human, he's developed an inner warrior - a berserker that wants to claim Irja Vainio as his own.
Irja is an immortal Viking healer, but she hasn't used her true powers for centuries. The last time she did, someone close to her ended up dead. So instead she relies on medicine and science to protect her tribe while denying her feelings for Scott.
But the Viking warriors are falling mysteriously ill, and without magic, Irja's knowledge of healing isn't enough. When the trickster god Loki offers her a cure, it comes with a steep price that could cost Irja everything. She needs Scott's help, a man whose loyalty to the Vikings is unmatched, whose love for Irja cannot be broken - and whose inner fury has yet to be unleashed.

I accidentally bought this. Tried to return immediately, but it wasn't "eligible " for return.
So I thought I'd just get it out of the way. It went from, not my first pick but think it'll be entertaining, to annoying, to a hate read. I'm mad about this one.
Everyone is completely interchangeable with every other random character in this book. The female lead stands out slightly. She is only different in that she's obsessed with being a martyr for- oh that's right. Nothing.
Always an annoying trope, but this time it's so pointless you want to skip screaming at the character and just let her leave. Don't let the door hit your cardboard personality on the way out.
Also, they are vikings with inner wolves, I mean berserkers. Please, shut up with the inner whining, excited yips, snarling, howling, pacing, playful prancing. They also recognize their mates!
If you wanted to write a book with all the stereotypes of a werewolf, then just use the term werewolf.
I would swear this is a werewolf book written with ai
