American doctor Larson Kerr started working with the Sudanese people out of a sense of duty and has grown to love them all, especially Rachel, her young assistant. But despite the years she's spent caring for them, her life feels unfulfilled. It's a void that both Paul and Rachel's older brother, Colonel Ben Alier of the Sudanese People's Liberation Army, notice.

When Rachel is abducted, Paul, Ben, and Larson agree to set aside their differences to form an unlikely alliance and execute a daring rescue. Their faith and beliefs tested, each must find the strength to walk the path God has laid before them, to find their way home.

What a powerful storyline!

Wow! This was a fabulous book. It captured my heart quickly and didn’t let it go. The storyline is so powerful and informational. The narration was really good as well.

Pulls at Heart Strings

I don't think I've ever read a Diann Mills book I didn't like, and this one was no exception! It's a good mix of tension and romance, with a good sprinkling of God's love throughout.

Long walk home

Great book and excellent narrator. An interesting look at how a former Muslim turned Christian is conceivably treated by fellow Christians. Looking forward to the next in the series.

Love the Christian values & love

This book completely shares Christ’s love for us. I could barely pause this book, but I had to sleep!
This book also brought up the Sudan’s civil war. I was so intrigued that I looked it up. Very sad! I’m glad the author had this book end on a happy note.

Great book

I read this book before and it was great. Listening to it the book was still great. The narrator was great also. DiAnn Mills is a wonderful author …I recommend any of her books.
