Kaleb is settling into his life without Alice, spending his days working at his oldest brother’s coffee shop and nights taking courses at a community college. Sure, Red Queen Inc. is still up to its old tricks, this time releasing WonderLand on an entire city, but Kaleb is out no matter how many times Markus asks him to come back. That is until Linc shows up, letting him know that not only is Alice alive, but she’s in trouble.

Alice wakes up behind a walled-up Salt City. The WonderLand virus is running rampant, and she is being hunted. If that wasn’t bad enough, she has no memory of how she got there or what’s happened in the last six months. Kaleb sent her on a crazy scavenger hunt to find him, telling her to trust no one.

Will Kaleb and Alice find each other before Salt City is destroyed, killing everyone inside?

Goodness gracious don't listen with earbuds in. The whistling S pronunciation is deafening when wearing them. I finally resorted to just listening without earbuds or headphones. The story is great, good character development and history. Just really can't get past the S and sh sounds. Really is very loud and makes it unenjoyable.

This Alice in Wonderland dystopian novel is a fresh and unique take on the original. The eye to detail and character development really draw you in. If you haven’t tried out this author, this series is a great place to start.

It was not an awful book, but just didn’t keep my attention. There were no real connections to Alice in Wonderland other than names, I don’t feel like if you’re looking for an alternate to that book, that this even comes close. I absolutely hated the end, it left a lot to be desired. In general, it wasn’t a horrible book, but not something that I cared for.
