Welcome to a world few people know. A world where the hottest bedroom desires become a reality and where good girls like Victoria "Tiny" Corielli shed their sweetness for carnal, bad-girl pleasures.

Victoria nurses her mother through cancer treatments and works long hours as a New York City bike courier to pay for the roof over their heads. When a suspiciously high-paying delivery job thrusts her into the arms of impossibly attractive businessman Ian Kerr, Victoria is sorely tempted to enjoy his attentions and his chiseled body, if only to forget her responsibilities for a while...no matter the cost.

Kerr seems to have it all: money, power, and charisma to spare. What he doesn't have: revenge on an old nemesis, but he intends to get it. Kerr is prepared to cast innocent Victoria as the lure in his vengeful plot. Yet the more they explore midtown Manhattan - and each other - the more she means to Ian. Will it be too late for him to stop the dangerous plan he's already put into motion?

Victoria is doing whatever it takes to take care of her dying mother. She works countless hours a day and doesn't have time for anything that doesn't involve making money to pay of her debts. When Ian Kerr crosses her path, he finds she is unforgettable. She finds him to be a welcomed distraction, but she's convinced all good things must come to an end.

I immediately one-clicked to download the next book in this series because I have to know how it ends.

PS - Kat Waldren did a fantastic job of narrating this story. I quickly became a new fan.

Addictive start to a fantastic story

The Publisher's Summary pretty much sums up the story.... Victoria (aka Tiny) is a struggling 25 yr old bike courier with a Mom battling but dying from Cancer who meets the handsome Gazillionaire Ian and there's an instant connection and a spark. But what it doesn't tell you is how confused Tiny's life becomes when she signs Ian's non disclosure contract to play a part in his revenge plan which lets him into her life. Or the fact that, despite all their many differences, Ian has let her know that he wants her and is confident that he's going to get her because of the way her body reacts and her breath quickens to his looks, his Alpha personality, his touches and his sexual tauntings that visually heats her up.

As the story unfolds it brings out Ian's possessive, controlling, jealous and caring side because slowly he wins the push/pull battle with feisty Tiny to let him get closer.... physically, mentally and emotionally. And, as he tries to help the struggling very close and loving Mother and daughter, he becomes their saviour, their rock, a passionate lover and a shoulder to cry on. Yet certain things about him stays a mystery.

This is totally a fictional never would happen in real life type listen that did have its flaws but that didn't detract at all from my enjoyment of this book as Tiny battles her insecurities, her worry over her Mom, her growing feelings towards Ian, the secrets he's holding back and what the future could possibly hold for them as a couple who are so different. There's also a sub plot for revenge on one of Ian's acquaintances which brings in more tension and characters to the story. Ian is a drool worthy perfect hero and Tiny is a woman who's out of her depth but struggling to hold on to her independence, her job, her involvement with Ian and the consequences on her heart when he walks away despite him saying he wants forever. A nice build-up to their relationship, some passion filled sex scenes as Ian's pursuasive plans, his unwaivering devotion and his hopes for their future finally pays off. Told from Tiny's POV by a good narrator. However, there is a happy but 'to be continued' ending.

Worth a credit? Well it would have been but, at under $10, I just bought it saving a credit that I would have happily spent for this very enjoyable listen. But beware - there are scenes of suffering, heartache and grief caused by Cancer so this may not suit some listeners.

HE WOULD WAIT FOREVER FOR HER TO LET HIM IN

I would recommend this book to read however the person telling the story made it really hard to finish. I would like to hear how the story ends but I'm just not sure I want to listen to another 5+ hours of it.

Good story, bad listen

Great story from Jen Frederick, really well performed by the reader. I am in love with the female lead, plucky 'Tiny' Corelli, a bike messenger struggling to support her cancer-stricken Mom. The two of them face the world, and the quietly powerful and mysterious billionaire Ian Kerr comes in to the story early on, insinuating himself into her life, despite Tiny's fierce pride and independence. He is a godsend, and I really loved how Tiny's Mom was a big part of the story. They are best friends, and their relationship is key. Can't wait to hear the next installment, though this is a fairly well self-contained story.

If you could sum up Losing Control in three words, what would they be?

Just really good. I love a good romance where the angst is revved up but the book just kind of jumped straight into it. Tiny is a bike messenger and meets Ian during a delivery. They have some funny back and forth banter. Overall the book was good and did not end on a cliffhanger per se but there is a second novel to the series but I am happy where this one left off and don't really care to read the second one. I listened to the book in one day. Started at about 10AM and finished by 8:30PM.
