Interesting premise but I wasn’t wowed. As the story progressed my disinterest for Eliza slowly turned to annoyance. It’s hard to care about a story when you don’t care about the MC’s. I can’t wait to see what happens with Graham in the next book.

Meh.

Who could ask for more? This is the 2nd book in the Baymoor Carlton siblings trilogy that focuses on the oldest child, Eliza. For those of you who've read the Men of Whiskey Row series, you are treated to appearances from the Sullivan Brothers and their BFF wives. The author does an excellent job as always pulling us through time lines and character arcs. Also, as always we are treated to plenty of steaming ♨️ sex scenes courtesy of Eliza and Wade Holloway, the smoking 🥵 town sheriff. Although I think the narration could have benefited from a male voice, Mari does an excellent job handling it solo. I personally think this story is better than book 1 (focused on Georgina) just because there's more and deeper rabbit holes to go down plot wise. DA Young is the Shonda Rimes of books!

Enjoyed the story and I'm glad that the Whiskey Row friends and family were in this book too. Mari is a great narrator but I would have liked to hear 1a male voice as well. I'm looking forward to the next book. I just can't find book 1 of this series.

A Good Read

By far, the men of whiskey row is my all time favorite series but Baymoore is my second. A phenomenal narrator, this female narrator was better than the female narrator in the men of whiskey row. D. A. Young is a phenomenal writer.

Another awesome series
