Not all shadows are monsters. And some were never meant to die.

Wendy is on a quest for vengeance after Hook kidnapped the lost boys and destroyed their school. Stuck as a shadow, Peter’s body is weakening because each time he dies and regenerates may be his last. Meanwhile, Wendy is running out of time to track down Hook, save the boys, and rescue Peter before he’s lost as a shadow forever.

But a surprising clue leads to the mysterious island where it all began. Neverland. Right when they believe the nightmare is over, they find the game is just beginning.

I only made it through the whole series because I was waiting for this story to really take off. Rinse and repeat….the whole story was a never ending cycle of Wendy getting her head hit, then capture, then some awkward romance that lacked true character development, then more running around, Wendy gets hit in the head nearly blacking out, then danger, then escape. The author had a brilliant and fascinating story plot that was never fully realized that lacked breadth, depth, character development, and richness. I felt like a middle schooler wrote these stories, so disappointing as her other writings have been tremendous.

So much untapped potential 😞
