This was a cute simple book. I was given the audiobook from the Narrator Kristen Saburn. And this book came at just the perfect time. I finished a big fantasy book and this was a great palate cleanser. It is also a unique book. Each chapter is about 30sec-2 mins long. Listening felt like reading a picture book with no pictures. The dialogue was short and to the point, very little description. Even with this unique way of telling a story I still enjoyed it. I also kept thinking wouldn’t make a great fantasy or steam punk romance adventure. It was fun and I could picture reading more details even though those details are not in the book. I would recommend this book to those that might need a short reprieve between thick books, or anyone who likes short quick reads with a simple plot line.

Good Simplistic Read

Ethan Carter and Madeline is thrown through time from 2012 to 1765. Can they find a way back or will they have to learn to survive? I liked the plot of the story and how it incorporated parts of history. The narrator did a good job, but because the chapters were so short, it was like being thrown out of the book every time a new chapter started. I wish each chapter was longer because I really enjoyed the storyline.

Enjoyable but too short
