Miss Sophia Beaumont swore off marrying for love after her heart was broken by a callous rogue. When her naïve sister sets her sights on Mr. Anthony Farnsworth, a well-known rake, Sophia will do whatever it takes to protect her sister from the inevitable heartbreak.

Mr. Anthony Farnsworth is a guardian of the Tenet, a group of gentlemen investigating crimes committed by their peers. Anthony must wed to further his line as an heir to a barony, but he wants to marry a sensible miss with no illusions of love.

After Anthony rescues Sophia from drowning, tongues wag, and he has no choice but to propose marriage or risk tarnishing her reputation. Soon, their marriage of convenience becomes very inconvenient as passion and a deeper affection develops. When a mysterious attacker targets her sister, Sophia and Anthony work together to catch the deviant and, in the process, discover the key to their own happiness—each other.

The virtual voice sucked and was very disappointing. No emotion and very monotone. Took away from the plot of yje story

While I really enjoyed the book I very much disliked the computer narrator. Where’s the feeling in the voices? I didn’t like that at all. Took me a while to finish the book because I didn’t care for the robot non feeling narration.

Loved the book
