Understatedly entertaining!

I wasn't sure about this book because it sounded like it could be a downer, but it so was NOT. In fact, I've already listened to it several times!

Henry & Eva are both positive characters who are working on healing from some major life traumas when the present story begins.

Eva's recovering from emotional abuse by an indifferent ex but we get to see her on the upward side of it as she's working thru it. She's witty & smart.

Leo is a wonderfully endearing supporting character - as is Gandalf!

Eva & Henry are both really clever & capable, and I love how they help & support each other - especially thru a big challenge at the end.

I hope the rest of the series will be available in audio. These are books I know I'll be listening to again & again

(I also wasn't sure about having a male narrator, but he did an excellent job with making the voices sound distinctive & natural)

My Comfort Listen

I’m biased because I think the author hung the moon, but this is my new comfort listen and I can’t stop. I can’t stop! And while I listen to it, I giggle and gasp and blush and kick my feet more than I should admit. It’s so wholesome and charming and the perfect balance of conflict and comfort. I adore it. ADORE.

Great writing!

I love these characters. I feel connected to so many of them like they are just an extension of me. I can’t wait until the sequel is made into an audiobook!
